Like all SNL sketches, this was created in less than a week. VFX spanned from rough pre-vis work on the Tuesday night when it kicked off, to final changes occuring minutes before air on Saturday. Every non-CG element was filmed on Friday, giving the compositors less than a single day to work with the footage. These are a few of the shots I was lucky enough to work on!
